On April 3, 2012 VUCCI organized an “Open House” which was attended by large number of VU students, member of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce, Industries, SMEDA, Educational institutes, Rescue 1122, Bankers and CCI faculty. Professor Dr. Naveed A. Malik the Rector Virtual University of Pakistan was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The purpose of this event was to realize the people that today knowledge has become the prime mover for social growth and industrial development of nation. The university-industry linkage and industry-academia collaboration can increase the possibilities than ever before to convert the knowledge and innovative ideas into commercial undertakings. Brilliant students were awarded with Academic Scholarships and Academic Excellence Shields.
VUCCI organized a TED event with Support of The City School aimed to introduce and motivate people of Sialkot to ideas worth spreading. The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
